INFORMATION

VACCINATIONS

All pets are required to be vaccinated prior to their arrival and the appropriate documentation by way of vaccination book and/or passport must be presented on arrival.

MICROCHIP IDENTIFICATION

The recent law governing the protection of pets requires that all dogs resident in the Andalusia Community be registered and that identification be made by either tattoo or microchip. As a registered kennel we may be required to insist on this as a condition of entry, for the moment we will only recommend it.

ARRIVAL DAY

The best time to bring you pet in is between 11.00 and 14.00 hours, since this will give them time to settle in and relax after the journey and thereafter enjoy their dinner in the evening. The first night can be difficult for new arrivals, especially if they have not been here before, but this procedure reduces any possible distress or homesickness. If work or travel arrangements preclude the above, then pets can be received outside these hours by prior arrangement. Some dogs and the majority of cats hate travelling and consequently may mess or vomit during the car journey. In order to minimise this and the distress it will cause to your pet, it is best not to give a morning meal on the day of travel and to give only a light meal the evening before. Dog owners should resist the temptation to empty the contents of the fridge into the dogs bowl rather than throwing these leftovers away!!! (Don't laugh, it does happen)

BEDDING, TOYS ETC.

We provide beds, but should your pet have a blanket, toys etc which will provide a link with home, then by all means bring this with you. However, we do not need your pets eating and drinking dishes, .

HEALTH

Please provide on arrival, the current health status of your pet, so that we can be made aware of any recent illness or medical treatment your pet has received. This information will help us deal with any possible problem which may occur during their stay with us. Our health policy is to treat the pet as if it were our own and we do not hesitate or call in veterinary assistance should we consider it necessary.
All vet bills will be added to the owners account.
It has to be pointed out that whilst playing, pets can occasionally receive bumps, scratches etc, but these are almost always minor in nature and could be compared with the type of cuts and bruises that children occasionally bring home from the school playground.

FOOD

Our standard diet for dogs is a complete dry food however special diets can be catered for.
Cats have a dish of complete dry food which is always available for nibbling on throughout the day.
